"Sharingon...?" Sasuke asked, staring into the red eyes of his opponent.

The ninja thinned his eyes. "Yeah, I'm an Uchiha." He said, sheathing his sword. "And, apparently, the only strong one."

Suigetsu laughed, but stopped immediatly when Sasuke gave him a death glare. "HAHA, i mean, that wasn't nice. *snicker*"

Sasuke looked back at the ninja, and scowled. "If you're an Uchiha, and you knew I was one, why'd you attack us?"

The ninja chuckled. "Quite frankly, I thought you were Itachi. But, when I saw that I could beat you, I figured you weren't him." He said. "...You're Sasuke, aren't you?"

Sasuke scowled. "Yeah." He said, still on guard. He frowned when the ninja suddenly gasped, and then tackled him again- but a different type of tackle.

"He just...tackle hugged you...." Suigetsu said, eye twitching.

Karin immediatly ran to the ninja, and kicked him into a tree, ripping off his hood-mask in the process. "NO ONE TACKLEHUGS MY SASUKE-KUN! NO ONE!"

Juugo raised an eyebrow. "Hey, you're a-"

"YOU'RE A CHICK!!! AND YOU'RE HOT, TOO!" Suigetsu shouted, staring at the ninja.

The Uchiha stared back at Suigetsu, and sighed. "..."

Sasuke stared at the ninja for a moment, and then smiled. "Wait- I know you! YEAH, YOU'RE KEIKO!"

Keiko smiled. "Heh. Yes, that be me."

Karin scowled at Keiko. Crap! An Uchiha girl.... She thought, watching Sasuke carefully. She gasped in irritation when Sasuke walked over to the other Uchiha, helped her up, and then hugged her. NO ****ING WAY!

Juugo rubbed his forehead. "Oh boy....I know what's coming, and I'm already getting a headache..." He said.

(with Sakura and co, a couple of hours later)

Sakura stared at the ceiling, tears coming from her eyes. She had heard that Naruto was dead.

And she couldn't believe it.

If Naruto's dead...then coming out here is pointless...i care about the missing kids, but...with no Naruto...

She looked over to her right, out a window. The sky was clear, with no clouds at all. But the moon was really bright. The moon looks like it did when Naruto and I were getting ready to fight Akatsuki... She thought, as she got off of her bed.

"Guys, I'm gunna go outside for a while..." Sakura said, hopping out the window.

Neji raised his eyebrows in concern. Oh geez...What is she going to do? He thought, stepping forward to follow her. He stopped when he felt a hand on his shoulder. He looked over, and saw it was a hand of sand, connected to Gaara.

"Let her sort this out on her own." Gaara said. "I get this feeling...that things may not be as they seem."

"....What do you mean...?" Neji asked.

"I mean...Naruto may not be dead." Gaara explained.

(with Sakura)

Sakura landed on the ground, and started walking aimlessly through the forest. She stared at the ground, and saw what appeared to be a pathway. Hmmm? She followed the path, and smiled lightly when she saw that it led to a giant city.

She wandered into the city, and sighed. It was a nice place- lights illuminated the people-filled streets. After a few hours of just walking around, she headed off towards a small coffee shop.

Inside the shop, she simply grabbed a seat, not ordering anything. She couldn't even think about drinking anything right now- she felt too sick.

No, not sick...

Heartbroken.

She folded her arms on the table, and rested her head in them. She was suddenly glad that she picked a table that was hidden from everywhere else- she was crying really hard. For her, a life without Naruto was almost...not really a life.

An odd thought of irony crossed her mind- for many years, she couldn't stand Naruto. Sasuke had always been the only thing on her mind. When she met the Uchiha at the age of 6, she was instantly in love.

She had formed rivalries with all of the other girls who loved Sasuke, and formed friendships with the people who were friends with Sasuke, or at least knew Sasuke. Each rivalry, each friendship was a step closer to gain the love of the Uchiha. It was all so simple.

The love for the Uchiha was even simpler- he was alone. That made him cool. He was a good looking individual- that made him cooler. He had a 'yeah, whatever' sort of attitude- That made him outragously cool. And every girl loves a cool guy like that.

Her original hatred of Naruto was simple, too.

He was alone, but tried hard to gain attention by annoying people- that made him a loser. He wasn't as good looking, and had weird whiskers- that made him a dork. He had a 'pay attention to me' attitude- that made him a nobody. And no girl wants a loserish guy like that.

But, as the years went on...she was forced to pay attention to Naruto. Especially after they became teammates on Team 7.

When they fought Haku and Zabuza, she cried when Sasuke was apparently killed. When they were in the Chunin exams, she cried when he was attacked by Orochimaru. When he left the village, she cried, and confessed her love to him.

When they fought Haku and Zabuza, she couldn't care less if Naruto died. When they were in the Chunin exams, she admired him a little bit. When Sasuke left the village, she turned to him for help.

But...when Naruto left the village after he couldn't bring Sasuke back, it was just a good-bye. If Naruto died when he was gone, she'd be upset, maybe depressed for a bit- but if Sasuke died, she'd be devestated.

Then Naruto came back...and everything sorta...changed. He looked cool. He had a cool attitude. He revealed why he was alone, and it was sorta cool. But, as she thought...she came to realize that Naruto had never changed.

He looked like he did before he left. Had the same idiotic attitude. Had been alone. He wasn't different. It was perplexing- Naruto was no different, and yet she now found herself...sort of...attracted to him.

As they had more adventures, saving Gaara, killing Akatsuki members, just hanging out with their teammates....She found herself more and more attracted to him.

And, yes, as he left....She wanted to confess. She wanted to say it all. But...She just couldn't. Naruto seemed...different. He was destroyed inside, after failing to save his friends.

He seemed a lot like Sasuke. He was acting exactly like the Sasuke she used to always love.

In the middle of these thoughts, Sakura felt a warm hand touch the top of her head. She looked up, and gasped...

...at the coffee shop manager.

"Ma'am, we all cry, but could you please cry a little bit quieter?" The man asked.

Sakura scowled, left, and headed back to the hotel.

Still destroyed inside.

awww, how sad! i don't know why, but when it said she was going to a big city, i thought something might happen there, i don't know what, but something...oh well, nice chappy! can't wait for the next!

Sakura laid in her bed, and sighed heavily. She was under the impression that the path would lead her to where Naruto was, but....it really wasn't.

Naruto....You can't be dead...She thought, tears escaping her eyes. "Naruto..." She muttered under her breath.

"You've been saying Naruto's name for the past three hours. I know you're sad, but you need to sleep." Neji said. "If you don't sleep, you'll just become more and more emotional."

Sakura stared at Neji for a minute, and sighed. "..I guess you're right...It's just...I can't stop thinking about him..." She whispered, trembling all over.

"I know. We're all upset that he's dead, but...I dunno..." Neji replied, looking away.

"....Neji, do you think he's really dead?" Sakura asked, her voice getting serious.

"Hmm? Well, I don't know. Pein might have just said that to throw us off, but I can't be sure." Neji said.

Sakura looked up at the ceiling, and grew a look of thought. Just to throw us off.... That's a possibility. Maybe...! Maybe that path WAS meant for something! She thought, standing up.

"What are you doing?" Neji asked.

"I think I know what to do." Sakura said, jumping out the window again.

"...Well, maybe I can sleep now." Neji said, laying down to rest.

(with Sasuke and co)

Keiko followed Sasuke and his group, but wasn't getting the greatest first impression. Sasuke seemed to be sort of emo, Suigetsu was hyper, Juugo was calm but had a crazy side, and Karin....well, Karin was flat out insane.

"So, uh, where are we going?" Keiko asked, running her hand through hair.

"None of your ****ing buisiness." Karin spat, thinning her eyes at Keiko.

"Karin, shut up. We're headed to the Mist village." Sasuke explained. "There are some missing kids, and we saw someone in an Akatsuki robe."

Keiko raised an eyebrow. Akatsuki...Oh yeah, the group Itachi's in.... She thought, not knowing that Itachi was dead. "Huh. Weird."

"Akatsuki used to go after people who had Bijuu inside of them, and extract the said creature to use for their own purposes- I think that these kids may have something similar to them." Sasuke said, fingering his sword.

"...Okay..." Keiko muttered.

"Akatsuki pulled tailed beasts out of people." Suigetsu said. "And these kids may have something like tailed beasts."

"Oh! That makes a lot more sense." Keiko said, smiling.

"Bijuu have incredible power- Pein, the Akatsuki leader, was planning to use them to create a weapon of mass destruction that he could use to recreate the world. Playing God, basically." Sasuke further explained. "If these kids are similar in any way...The entire world as we know it may be in trouble."

"...You know, everything you said just went over my head." Keiko said, scratching her head.

"Oh geez, another clueless one..." Suigetsu said.

"Aren't you one of the clueless ones?" Sasuke asked, chuckling.

"And I'm proud of it. The dummies version of what Sasuke said is that the Akatsuki leader can use tailed beasts to destroy everything." Suigetsu said.

"Whoa! then we need to save the kids, like, now!" Keiko exclaimed, running next to Sasuke, and accidentally touching Sasuke's hand with hers- which, in response, caused Karin to run up and kick Keiko through a bunch of trees.

"...This day sucks." Juugo muttered, staring up at the clouds. "..."

(with Sakura, in the city)

Sakura wandered through the city, but this time, in a serious mood. He could be alive. And if he is...Maybe someone knows where he could be. She thought, looking around. She entered the coffee shop that she was in earlier, and walked up to the owner.

"Hey, have you seen a guy, about 20, blonde hair, blue eyes, and weird whisker marks on his cheeks?" Sakura asked.

"...No...I've never seen anyone like that." The man said, frowning. "Sorry."

"Tch...It's okay, I'll ask around...Thanks anyway." Sakura replied, walking out of the shop. Well, that didn't work. I guess the only thing to do is try somewhere else...

She ran into about 15 places before getting a lead, in a resturaunt.

"Excuse me, sir?" Sakura asked the manager. "Look, I'm trying to find someone. He's blonde, has blue eyes, whiskers, and is about 20." She said.

"Hmm...What was this guy's name?" The manager asked.

"Uzumaki Naruto."

"....Uzumaki....Naruto....it does sound a little familiar...yes, i seem to remember a guy a couple of days ago who came in here and had like 30 cups of ramen...." The manager said, putting a hand on his chin.

"THAT'S HIM! DOES HE LIVE HERE?!" Sakura shouted, eyes widening in joy.

"I think so. I saw him coming out of the apartment complex on the other side of town once or twice." The manager explained.

"GREAT! THANK YOU SO MUCH!" Sakura exclaimed, running out of the resturaunt.

She ran to the other side of town, and entered the apartment complex. "EXCUSE ME! I'm looking for Uzumaki Naruto. Does he live here?" She asked the person at the service counter.

"Naruto...yeah, he's up in room 402-B." The lady said, smiling.

"THANK YOU!" Sakura said, running towards the specified room. "Naruto, here I come!"

She knocked on the door when she got there.

The person opened the door...

"...! You're not Naruto..." Sakura mumbled. The man was 40-ish, overweight, but had blue eyes and blonde hair.

"Of course I am! I'm Uxumaki Naruto!" Naruto said.

"....They confused Uzumaki...with...Uxumaki....?" Sakura asked herself, turning to leave. "...Damn..."

(in the coffee shop)

A man ran into the shop, pulled out a katana, and pointed it at the manager. "GIMME ALL OF YOUR MONEY! NOW! EVERYONE ELSE, GET DOWN, AND DON'T MOVE!" He shouted, eyes thinning. "NOW!"

A customer sighed, sipped on coffee, a stood up. "I wouldn't do that if I were you. If you continue, you're going down."

The robber looked over at the customer, and scowled. "Ha! Like a scrawny guy like you could do anything to me!" He said, staring at the man. What an idiot.

The customer shrugged, and made a hand seal. "You asked for it." He said, as red chakra started spiraling around him.

"....That chakra...you're a monster....!" The robber said, voice trembling.

"Heh...I guess so." The customer said, looking at the robber with red eyes. "Anyway, I said you were going down, so now you are. And I don't go back on my word. Cuz' that's my nindo...my ninja way!"
